I am an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at Durham University Business School. Before joining Durham University, I was an Assistant Professor of Management at Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business in South Korea. I received my Ph.D. from the Institute for Work and Employment Research at the MIT Sloan School of Management and BA from Istanbul University.
My research focuses on work and employment issues, particularly how individuals search for jobs, the experience of unemployment, gender segregation in labor markets, and health and safety in organizations.
Currently, I serve as a coordinator for the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) Network G on Labor Markets, Education, and Human Resources, alongside my colleagues. The SASE 2025 conference will be held in Montréal on 9-12 July and we look forward to receiving your submissions to our network.
In addition, together with my colleagues at Durham University, we are organizing the 14th International Labour and Employment Relations Association (ILERA) European Conference. We also look forward to receiving your work to this conference and to welcoming you to Durham.
